Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and water infrastructure.
- Technical Drawings and Specifications: Prepare detailed design drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Site Investigations: Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and surveys to ensure optimal project execution.
- Project Oversight: Supervise construction activities and ensure adherence to design plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all project activities align with industry regulations, safety standards, and civil engineering principles.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest civil engineering methodologies, standards, and software technologies to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Professional Registration: Must be professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in civil engineering software, especially AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
